School of Nursinghealth Awarness Programme

School of Nursing health Awarness Programme, Takshashila University, successfully conducted a Health Awareness Programme – Poster & Drawing Competition on 2 February 2026 at Shri Ram School, Omandur. The programme targeted High School and Higher Secondary School students, with the aim of promoting health awareness and healthy lifestyle practices among young learners.

The programme was organized and represented by Mrs. M. Umamageswari, Assistant Professor, School of Nursing, and commenced at 11:30 AM. The initiative focused on educating students about the importance of health, hygiene, and preventive care through creative and participatory learning methods.

Key Objectives of the School of Nursinghealth Awarness Programme

  • To create health awareness among school students
  • To promote the importance of healthy lifestyle practices
  • To encourage creativity and expression through poster and drawing competitions
  • To strengthen community outreach and school health education

Health Awarness Posters & Drawing Competitions

As part of the Health Awareness Programme, a Poster Presentation and Drawing Competition were conducted for school students on the themes “Health is Wealth” and “From Clean Habits to Healthy Living” respectively. Students were allotted a duration of one hour to complete their posters and drawings. These activities provided an effective platform for students to creatively convey health-related messages and demonstrate their understanding of cleanliness, personal hygiene, and healthy lifestyle practices

  • Second Place: E. Jawahar

Poster Competition – Award Recipients:

  • First Place: S. Vaibhavasri
  • Second Place: S. M. Harish

The top two participants from each competition were selected based on merit and were honored with shields bearing the Takshashila University logo as a token of appreciation and encouragement for their outstanding performance.

Conclusion

The Health Awareness Programme organized by the School of Nursing, Takshashila University, was a successful and impactful community outreach initiative.
