Vaccination Awareness Camp

The School of Pharmacy at Takshashila University successfully organized a Vaccination Awareness Camp on
05 December 2025 at Ongur Village from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
The initiative aimed to enhance public understanding of the significance of timely vaccinations, proper medication
practices, and essential preventive healthcare measures. During the camp, students engaged with community
members through interactive sessions, offering clear and accessible health information. Vaccination schedules
and educational materials were also distributed to promote continued awareness and adherence to immunization
practices.This outreach programme underscores the University’s strong commitment to advancing public health
and supporting the well-being of ruralcommunities through meaningful and impactful community engagement
initiatives.

A considerable number of villagers from the Ongur community—including children, parents, and elderly
individuals—actively participated in the awareness programme. The sessions provided valuable information
tailored to the needs of each age group, helping them understand the importance of timely vaccinations,
proper medication practices, and preventive healthcare. This active participation ensured that the key messages
reached a broad section of the community, ultimately contributing to improved health awareness and well-being.
