A NATIONAL LEVEL PROJECT EXPO

The School of Core Engineering B.Tech (ECE), Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Takshashila University, successfully organized TIDEX ’26 – Takshashila Innovation, Design and Exhibition, a National Level Project Expo for 9th to 12th standard school students, on 08 January 2026 at the University campus. The event aimed to foster innovation, creativity, and experiential learning by encouraging students to apply theoretical knowledge to practical projects.


Students from various schools participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing innovative projects across diverse domains. Faculty members actively engaged with the participants, offering valuable guidance and constructive feedback.

A PLATFORM FOR YOUNG INNOVATORS – TIDEX’26 :

TIDEX ’26 was designed to provide a strong foundation for innovation and experiential learning among school students. The expo aimed to encourage young minds to apply theoretical knowledge through hands-on project development, fostering creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical curiosity at an early stage of education.

The event was open to 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th standard students and witnessed enthusiastic participation from various schools, making it a vibrant platform for showcasing student innovation. The expo served as an inspiring platform, reinforcing Takshashila University’s commitment to nurturing young innovators and promoting hands-on learning.

HIGHLIGHTS OF PROJECTS THEME :

Participants presented projects across multiple emerging and application-oriented domains, including:

>>Smart Energy Management Systems
>>Industrial Automation
>>Intelligent Traffic Management Systems
>>Autonomous Vehicles
>>Smart Home Automation
>>Wearable Health Monitoring Systems

These projects reflected students’ understanding of real-world challenges and their ability to propose innovative technological solutions.

STUDENT PARTICIPATION AND INVOLVEMENT:

Students from 5 schools showcased innovative projects across emerging domains such as Smart Energy Management, Industrial Automation, Intelligent Traffic Systems, Autonomous Vehicles, Smart Home Automation, and Wearable Health Monitoring. A total of 71 students participated, with 42 from 11th grade and 29 from 6th–9th grades. The participating schools were ARLM Vidyalayam, Holy Angel CBSE School (Rettanai), Holy Angel Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, and Prasan Vidhiya Mandir School

EVALUATION AND SELECTION :

The competition followed a structured three-round evaluation process:


>> Round 1 – Abstract Screening: Projects were shortlisted based on innovation, clarity, and feasibility.
>> Round 2 – Presentation Round: Teams presented their concepts and demonstrated technical understanding before the jury.
>> Round 3 – Final Demonstration: Selected teams showcased working models or prototypes for final evaluation.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION :

TIDEX ’26, a National-Level Project Expo, celebrated innovation and technical excellence among student participants. Winners were recognized and awarded cash prizes based on specific themes across various project categories. A structured and transparent evaluation process ensured fair assessment, honoring creativity, problem-solving skills, and technological innovation demonstrated by the participants. In addition, all participants received certificates of participation in recognition of their effort, enthusiasm, and active involvement in the expo. This initiative aimed to foster confidence, encourage continuous learning, and inspire young minds toward innovation and excellence

ACADEMIC SUPPORT AND EXPERIMENTAL LEARNING :

Faculty members from the School of Core Engineering, Takshashila University, actively engaged with the students throughout the expo, providing valuable guidance, constructive feedback, and encouragement. Their mentorship helped students refine their ideas, enhance technical understanding, and gain confidence in presenting their projects.
The event also promoted collaboration, effective communication, and problem-solving skills, offering students a rich learning experience that went beyond traditional classroom education. By combining mentorship with hands-on innovation, TIDEX ’26 created an inspiring environment for young learners to explore, experiment, and grow as future innovators.

CONCLUSION :

TIDEX ’26 concluded successfully as a landmark initiative organized by the School of Core Engineering B.Tech (ECE), highlighting Takshashila University’s dedication to nurturing young innovators and fostering project-based learning. The event provided an inspiring platform for school students to engage with engineering concepts, encouraging exploration and shaping their future academic and technological aspirations.
