Key Objective of the Internal Hackathon:

The internal hackathon was designed to strengthen students’ problem-solving, creativity and teamwork skills, while guiding them in preparing effective Idea PPTs for Smart India Hackathon 2026. It also created a structured opportunity for expert evaluation and feedback, helping teams refine and sharpen their proposed solutions before the next stage of competition.

The hackathon began with an orientation on Smart India Hackathon 2026, introducing students to the participating problem statements and the challenges they were designed to address. Students received guidance on understanding and selecting suitable problem statements based on their interests and solution approaches. Team discussions and collaborative thinking sessions then enabled participants to explore possible ideas and develop initial approaches to the identified challenges.

Developing Ideas into Solutions:

Following the selection of problem statements, student teams worked collaboratively to develop technology-based solution concepts addressing the identified challenges. With guidance and mentoring from faculty members, teams refined their ideas and prepared structured Idea PPTs, focusing on clearly presenting the problem, proposed solution and its approach. The process encouraged students to turn their initial ideas into well-defined solution concepts.

The internal hackathon delivered value that extended well beyond the two days of presentations. Direct feedback from an external jury member helped teams identify gaps and sharpen their problem-solution , resulting in more focused and well-defined ideas. The process of building and pitching a solution also gave students hands-on exposure to how their work would be assessed at a competitive, national level, boosting both their confidence and their readiness for future challenges. Students from different schools participating, the event further fostered cross-school collaboration, encouraging interaction and idea-sharing across academic disciplines.
