Introduction:
Takshashila University successfully organized “Masters of Impact – Recognising Academic Excellence” on 25 July 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall, Takshashila University, Tindivanam. The event brought together Higher Secondary School Teachers and Physical Education Staff from various institutions to celebrate their invaluable contribution to shaping future generations through education, mentorship, and holistic student development.
The programme featured Mrs. Bharathy Bhaskar, renowned Debate and Motivational Speaker, as the Chief Guest, who inspired the gathering with her insightful perspectives on the evolving role of educators in today’s dynamic learning environment.
Lighting of the Ceremonial Lamp :

The programme began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. The ritual reflected the University’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, setting an inspiring tone for the event.
Welcome Address :

The Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. A. Suphalakshmi, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), who extended a warm and gracious welcome to the dignitaries, chief guest, school teachers, Physical Education staff, and all participants. In her address, she emphasized the pivotal role of Higher Secondary School Teachers and Physical Education Staff in shaping the future of education and society, and underscored the University’s commitment to recognizing and celebrating their invaluable contributions to teaching, and mentorship. She further expressed her appreciation for the presence of the distinguished guests and marked the beginning of the programme on an inspiring note.
Honouring the Chief Guest :

As a gesture of respect and appreciation, the Chief Guest, Mrs. Bharathy Bhaskar, was formally honoured by the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vivek Inder Kochhar, and the Honourable Registrar, Dr. S. Senthil.
Subsequently, the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vivek Inder Kochhar, was honoured by Dr. Venkataramanan, School In-charge of Basic Sciences, while the Honourable Registrar, Dr. S. Senthil, was felicitated by Dr. Guru, School In-charge of Management Studies, acknowledging their visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to academic excellence and institutional growth.
Felicitation Address :

The Felicitation Address was delivered by the Honourable Registrar, Dr. S. Senthil, who warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, Mrs. Bharathy Bhaskar, along with the participating school teachers and Physical Education staff.
In his address, he emphasized the importance of establishing confidential student counselling systems in every school to support students’ well-being. He also highlighted the need to empower teachers to foster discipline and uphold institutional values. Concluding his speech, Honourable Registrar, Dr. S. Senthil encouraged educators to recognize that every student is unique and to nurture their individual strengths, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

Continuing the proceedings, the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vivek Inder Kochhar, addressed the gathering and expressed his appreciation for the event’s theme, “Masters of Impact,” noting that true impact extends beyond the classroom to lifelong counselling, motivation, and continuous learning.
He compared school education to wet clay, shaping the values and direction students carry forward into higher education and life. He concluded by affirming that teachers are truly the “Masters of Impact,” shaping not just academic outcomes but the future of their students.
Chief Guest Introduction:

The Chief Guest was formally introduced by Mr. Ilayaraja, School In-charge of Commerce, who presented an overview of Mrs. Bharathy Bhaskar’s distinguished journey and achievements.
He told that Mrs. Bharathy Bhaskar is a distinguished Debate and Motivational Speaker, widely recognized for her contributions to public discourse in Tamil Nadu. He shared that, as a popular television personality, she has authored numerous motivational articles for reputed publications and authored the acclaimed book “Nee Nathi Pola Odikondiru”. He further noted that, in recognition of her literary contributions, she was honoured with the “Kambar Viruthu” in 2021.
He concluded by stating that through her television presence, writings, and motivational sessions, Mrs. Bhaskar continues to inspire audiences with her insights on communication, confidence, and personal growth.
Chief Guest Address:

Mrs. Bharathy Bhaskar, renowned motivational speaker and debate expert, delivered an inspiring keynote address on the significance of education, the legacy of Takshashila, and the invaluable role of teachers.
She expressed her admiration for the name Takshashila University, explaining that it symbolizes the timeless tradition of shaping individuals through knowledge, discipline, and perseverance. Using the analogy of two stones, one becoming a temple step and the other an idol, she emphasized that resilience and continuous learning transform ordinary individuals into extraordinary leaders.
She also praised Takshashila University for conferring an honorary doctorate on acclaimed Tamil writer Jayamohan, noting that despite rarely accepting honours, he accepted the recognition from the University, reflecting its academic credibility and values.
Highlighting the role of educators, she remarked that teachers carry immense responsibility while often remaining behind the scenes. Comparing them to the foundation of a human pyramid, she described them as the true architects of society and concluded by thanking every teacher for shaping the future of the students.
Vote of Thanks :

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. S. Deepa, Dean, Faculty of Science (FSC), who extended sincere gratitude to the Honourable Chancellor, Shri M. Dhanasekaran; the Honourable Pro-Chancellor, Dr. D. Nila Priyadharshini; and the Chief Guest, Mrs. Bharathy Bhaskar, for her invaluable insights. She also thanked the Honourable Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vivek Inder Kochhar, and the Honourable Registrar, Dr. S. Senthil, for their guidance and support.
She further conveyed her appreciation to the Deans, School In-charges, faculty, and the organizing committee for their efforts, along with the participating Higher Secondary School Teachers and Physical Education Staff for their active involvement, which contributed to the successful conduct of the programme.
