Introduction:
Takshashila University hosted iTECHNO 2K26, an inter-college technical symposium presented by the School of Computer Science, at the Multipurpose Hall on 9 October 2026. The event brought together 330 participants across seven competitions covering coding, ideation, language, sketching, gaming and digital content.
By combining technical contests with creative and team-based events, the symposium gave students a platform to apply their knowledge, test new ideas and connect with peers from other institutions.
Key Objectives:
iTECHNO 2K26 gave students a competitive platform to apply technical knowledge, creativity and problem-solving skills. The contests built coding proficiency and logical reasoning, team events developed collaboration and communication, and the symposium encouraged students from different colleges to exchange ideas.
Event Highlights: Seven Competitions, Diverse Skills:

Hackverse – Build Ideas Beyond Limits: Hackverse drew 40 participants who turned original ideas into practical, well-planned concepts. Teams moved beyond conventional approaches and presented solutions that combined innovation with feasibility and a strong focus on user needs.
Codeathon – Code Today, Create Tomorrow: Codeathon, the symposium’s core programming contest, had 24 participants. They analysed problem statements, designed logical solutions and converted them into working code within the allotted time, with accuracy and efficiency rewarded.
Tech Battle – Strategize, Solve, Conquer: Tech Battle tested technical knowledge through competitive rounds, with 14 participants. Conceptual clarity, analytical thinking and quick decisions under pressure decided the results.
Word Battle – Words Beyond Boundaries: Word Battle brought in 12 participants for language-based rounds that tested vocabulary, verbal agility and quick recall, adding a communication-driven dimension to a largely technical symposium.
Pictionary – Sketch, Express, Impress: Pictionary drew 28 participants, who conveyed ideas through sketches while teammates interpreted the visual clues. The event highlighted clear visual expression and effective coordination.
Free Fire Squad Battle – Squad Up, Fight to Win: The Free Fire Squad Battle was the most popular event, with 204 participants, over 61% of all registrations. Squads competed through strategic planning, tactical positioning and well-timed decisions, with communication and mutual trust proving decisive.
Viral Minds – Think, Create, Go Viral: Viral Minds had 8 participants create original digital content designed to engage audiences. The competition rewarded innovative concepts, thoughtful presentation and an understanding of modern digital communication.
Student Participation and Competitive Spirit:
iTECHNO 2K26 recorded 330 participants, including 198 students of Takshashila University and 132 from 10 external colleges, reflecting the symposium’s wide reach beyond the campus. The range of technical, creative and gaming events allowed each student to choose activities that matched their interests. Working with teammates and competing against peers from other institutions added to the vibrancy of the occasion.
Impact-Skills, Strengths and Connections:
iTECHNO 2K26 strengthened students’ coding proficiency, analytical thinking, creativity and communication, while the team-based events built coordination and strategic planning. The blend of technical challenges, creative contests and digital gaming helped students recognise their strengths and connect with peers from different colleges. Together, these experiences showed that analytical thinking, communication and teamwork matter as much as technical expertise.
Conclusion:

iTECHNO 2K26 offered students a valuable opportunity to present their talents, test new ideas and learn through participation. Bringing together students from Takshashila University and other colleges, the symposium balanced technical rigour with innovation.
For the participants, it became a meaningful addition to their academic journey, and the university looks forward to hosting the next edition. iTECHNO 2K26 stands as one more example of the university’s efforts to give students stages that turn curiosity into confidence.
