Introduction :

Takshashila University organized an Environmental Awareness Programme on 17 March 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Multipurpose Hall, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Forest Department. In today’s rapidly evolving world, environmental sustainability has become a global priority. Recognizing this need, the School of Agricultural Sciences conducted this programme to promote awareness of conservation and sustainable practices.

The event brought together students, faculty members, and environmental experts, providing a valuable platform to highlight the importance of environmental protection and to encourage the adoption of sustainable practices.

Purpose and Significance of the Programme :

The programme was designed to create awareness about environmental conservation and the importance of protecting natural resources. The programme encouraged participants to step beyond the classroom, showcasing their talent through dance, singing, drawing and essay writing in an atmosphere of healthy competition and personal growth.
