Introduction:
Takshashila University hosted CRESENDO’26 – Inter-School Cultural Fest on September 3, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall, organised by its Faculty of Engineering and Technology and Faculty of Management and Commerce, bringing school students from various institutions onto a common platform to celebrate creativity, confidence and self-expression. The programme encouraged participants to step beyond the classroom, showcasing their talent through dance, singing, drawing and essay writing in an atmosphere of healthy competition and personal growth.
Key Objective of the programme:
The key objective of CRESENDO’26 was to give young learners a chance to discover, express and celebrate their talents, an opening for every talented student and a stage for every aspiring young mind. The initiative also reflected the importance of nurturing students beyond academics. By creating avenues for artistic expression, communication and participation, the programme helped them recognise their individual strengths and build the self-assurance to display them.
School Outreach and Student Participation – Crescendo ’26 :
The journey began with members of the organising committee personally visiting various schools to introduce the event and invite students to participate. The response was highly encouraging, with schools and teachers motivating young people to come forward with enthusiasm. Against an initial expectation of around 200 participants, the event drew 463 students across the different competitions. The unexpected turnout added excitement and responsibility, which the organising team met by delivering a smooth, memorable experience for everyone involved.
A Stage for Creativity and Expression:
CRESENDO’26 featured a diverse range of competitions, allowing students with different interests and abilities to find a space to express themselves. Dance attracted 164 students, singing 61 students, Drawing 91 students, and Essay Writing 147 students, reflecting the wide range of creative interests among the participants.
Each competition offered a distinct form of expression —dance and singing built performance confidence, drawing encouraged visual imagination, and essay writing gave an outlet through words. Faculty members and invited judges evaluated entries across all four categories. This spread of participation made the event a vibrant and inclusive celebration of talent.
Beyond Screens, Into Real-World Engagement:
In an era where children are increasingly surrounded by mobile phones, social media and digital entertainment, CRESENDO’26 offered a chance to step away from screens and reconnect with real-world experiences.
The event brought students together to interact, perform, create and compete in a shared environment. Whether stepping onto the stage, presenting their artwork or expressing ideas through writing, participants showed that creativity thrives when young minds are given the right platform and encouragement. It became more than a cultural competition — a space to feel the excitement of taking part, the value of preparation, and the confidence that comes from performing before an audience.

The success of CRESENDO’26 was not measured by winners or prizes alone. Its greatest achievement was seeing hundreds of students step forward to discover the joy of performing, creating, competing and being appreciated.
For many young participants, the courage to take part, the willingness to take on a challenge, and the confidence to display their abilities made the experience an integral part of their growth. In that spirit, every student who took part was, in every sense, a winner.

CRESENDO’26 brought together students, schools, teachers, parents, judges, faculty members and coordinators in a shared celebration of creativity and youthful enthusiasm, with wholehearted participation making it a memorable occasion for the young talents involved. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, recognising the winners across all four categories.
More importantly, it gave participants a chance to believe in their abilities, step outside their comfort zones and discover the confidence to express themselves. CRESENDO’26 may have concluded for this year, but for those who took part, it marks the beginning of a journey towards greater confidence, creativity and achievement.
