Introduction :
In observance of World Sparrow Day (March 20, 2026), Takshashila University, through its School of Management Studies, organized a purposeful environmental initiative titled “100 Sparrows Mission.” This initiative reflects the institution’s strong commitment to sustainability, ecological awareness, and meaningful community engagement.

As part of the programme, a nest box distribution drive was carried out across households in Muppili Village, aimed at providing safe nesting spaces for sparrows. Designed to address the alarming decline in sparrow populations, the initiative emphasized the importance of biodiversity conservation.
Objective of the Event :
The primary objective of the 100 Sparrows Mission was to promote environmental consciousness and inspire proactive efforts toward sparrow conservation. The event aimed to:

- Encourage eco-friendly habits and sustainable lifestyles

- Distributed nest boxes to encourage bird-friendly environments
