SCHOOL INCHARGE
She has more than 14 years of teaching experience. She received a BPT degree and an MPT (Ortho) degree from Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennai. She worked as an assistant professor for 10 years at the Union Christian Association of Paramedical Sciences. She also served as an assistant professor at Madha College of Physiotherapy, Kundrathur, Chennai. She was a question paper setter for various physiotherapy subjects under Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennai, and acted as an external examiner for various colleges affiliated under the same university. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. at Garden City University, Bangalore, with her research focusing on musculoskeletal disorders. She serves as an Expert Panel Member in the Board of Studies in deemed universities. She has organised several conferences, workshops, guest lectures, and symposiums and has published various journals. Additionally, she has attended a Faculty Development Program conducted at our university.

He has wide experience in the field of academics, as well as in the clinic, for over 4 years. He completed his MPT (ORTHO) specialisation in Physiotherapy in the year 2019. He pursued his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Ortho-Physiotherapy from Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Guindy, Chennai. He worked as an Assistant Professor for 4 years at Adhiparasakthi College of Physiotherapy, Melmaruvathur. Adding to his credits, he has attended international/national conferences in the field of Physiotherapy and published in international journals.

Infrastructure
Our university building has been appropriately designed and fully equipped with lecture halls and laboratories to provide hands-on practical training to the students. The lecture halls are equipped with smart boards and LCD projectors. Additionally, it possesses a variety of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic modalities and instruments utilised for treatment and research work in the physiotherapy lab. Our university anatomy lab consists of distinct parts of human bones and a skeleton.

Transport
World Aids Day Rally
We congratulate and appreciate all the students from the School of Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences, and Pharmacy for successfully completing the 1st AIDS awareness rally and skit on Dec 1st – World AIDS Day. This programme was implemented as a comprehensive programme for the prevention and control of AIDS in India. They also raised awareness for behaviour changes. The rally was inaugurated by our Vice Chancellor, Dr. (Prof) Vivek Inder Kochhar, and Registrar, Dr. (Prof) S. Senthil. The rally started from Theerthakulam and ended at Gingee bus stand, Tindivanam. The Chief Guest was Mrs. R. Kalaiselvi. Through this rally and skit, our students created awareness to ensure patient safety, public safety, and health education about AIDS. This health club programme is truly a great start for the School of Physiotherapy.
National Girl Child Day Programme
Takshashila University has organised a guest lecture on 24th January 2024 (Wednesday) on Menstrual Hygiene. Dr. S. Santhakumari, Chief Medical Officer, Tindivanam Government Hospital, has created awareness about:
- Menstrual Hygiene,
- How to correct irregular periods,
- PCOD and PCOS,
- Menstrual cramps,
- The importance of menstrual cup and its benefits,
- Briefly explained the Menstrual Cycle and its physiology.
The management of Takshashila, i.e., the Pro-Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, and Registrar, welcomed and honoured the guest lecture. All Takshashila University female students participated. This programme was organised by the School of Physiotherapy, Allied Health Sciences, and Pharmacy.
