SCOPE

Chemical Engineer: Chemistry majors can pursue careers as chemical engineers, who design and develop chemical processes and products. They work in various industries such as pharmaceuticals, energy, and consumer goods.

Patent Attorney: Chemistry graduates can pursue careers as patent attorneys, who specialize in intellectual property law related to chemical and biochemical inventions. They work in law firms and corporate legal departments.

Teacher: Chemistry graduates can teach chemistry in high schools.

Lab Assistant: Chemistry majors can work as laboratory assistants or technicians who assist other senior technicians in handling laboratory equipment and performing various experiments. Their job duties include processing samples, analyzing results and classifying findings. Academic labs, diagnostic firms, hospitals and medical centers usually employ lab assistants.

Scientific Assistant: Chemistry majors can work as scientific assistants who assist/support senior scientists in research and other educational projects. They also handle administrative tasks related to the project.Â
